**Job Title:** Interim ALS Manager

**Location:** East London

**About the Role / Job Summary:**

Our College client is a leading educational institution committed to delivering high-quality education and support to its diverse student body. We are currently seeking an Interim ALS Manager to oversee the Additional Learning Support (ALS) department, ensuring that all students receive the necessary support to achieve their academic goals. This role is pivotal in fostering an inclusive learning environment that promotes student success.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Lead and manage the ALS team to provide effective support for students with diverse needs.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance student engagement and achievement.
  • Collaborate with academic staff to ensure the integration of support services within the curriculum.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of ALS provision and make necessary adjustments.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student support.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and best practices in the education sector.

**Qualifications:**

  • Experience in a leadership role within an educational setting, preferably in Additional Learning Support.
  • Strong understanding of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) legislation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders.

**Education Requirements:**

  • A relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Education or a related field.
  • Professional development in SEND or educational leadership is desirable.

**Experience Requirements:**

  • Proven experience in managing educational support services.
  • Experience working with students with SEND and understanding their needs.
  • Track record of developing and implementing effective support strategies.
