Health & Social Care Lecturer

Location: London
Contract: Full-time or Part-time | Temporary Ongoing

The Role

We are recruiting enthusiastic and experienced Health & Social Care Lecturers to join a number of well-established Further Education colleges across London.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to deliver BTEC Health & Social Care programmes to learners aged 16-19, supporting them in developing the knowledge, skills, and confidence required to achieve their qualifications and progress into higher education or careers within the health and social care sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, inclusive, and high-quality Health & Social Care lessons.

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver teaching materials aligned with awarding body requirements.

  • Assess learner work and provide constructive feedback to support academic progress.

  • Monitor student progress and implement strategies to improve achievement.

  • Provide academic guidance and pastoral support to learners.

  • Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessment, and learner development.

Requirements

Essential

  • Experience teaching BTEC Health & Social Care.

  • Relevant degree or professional qualification in Health & Social Care or a related subject.

  • Strong communication, organisation, and classroom management skills.

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

Desirable

  • PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, or another recognised teaching qualification.

  • Previous experience teaching within a Further Education college.

  • Experience supporting learners aged 16-19.
