Health and Social Care Lecturer

Location: Crawley

Salary: £40 P/H

Contract: Temporary

Hours: Full Time

We are currently working with a College in Crawley to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Health and Social Care Lecturer to join its Health and Social Care department on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity to inspire learners and deliver high-quality teaching across Health and Social Care programmes within a supportive and forward-thinking Further Education environment.

Whether you are an experienced FE lecturer or an industry professional looking to transition into teaching, this role offers the opportunity to make a real difference to learners while working within a collaborative and student-focused department.

About the Role

  • Deliver engaging and inspiring teaching across Health and Social Care programmes, including BTEC and other vocational qualifications where applicable
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons that meet the needs of a diverse range of learners
  • Assess learner progress, provide timely feedback, and support students in achieving their qualifications
  • Create an inclusive, positive, and motivating learning environment
  • Contribute to curriculum planning, quality improvement, and departmental development

What We’re Looking For

  • A degree or recognised qualification in Health and Social Care or a related subject
  • Recent and relevant industry or teaching experience within Health and Social Care
  • Strong communication, organisational, and classroom management skills
  • A passion for supporting learners to achieve their academic and career goals

Desirable

  • A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent)
  • Experience delivering BTEC Health and Social Care or other vocational qualifications
  • Experience teaching within a Further Education College
  • Knowledge of current Health and Social Care curriculum and assessment requirements
