Solihull College & University Centre is seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of School Creative Arts to sustain our outstanding provision and drive innovation and excellence across our provision. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a high-performing team and make a real impact on learners and creative communities.

 

As Head of School, you will have strategic and operational responsibility for all aspects of the provision, including:

 

  • 16 to 18 Level 1 to Level 3 provision across 2 college sites.
  • WMCA and Warwickshire ASF funded programmes
  • The Development of HE
  • Work Experience
  • Industry Engagement

 

You will lead curriculum development, quality improvement, and recruitment strategies, ensuring outstanding teaching, learning, and assessment. Working closely with industry partners, you will secure employability skills, placements, and opportunities for learners, while driving growth and innovation in new markets.

 

You will hold a degree or equivalent industry qualification, with a teaching qualification being essential.  Proven FE management experience with a strong vocational knowledge of the Creative Arts a track record of improving teaching and learning and leading successful teams is essential.  Excellent communication, leadership, and networking skills and the ability to manage change, develop curriculum, and deliver high-quality outcomes for learners is essential to this role.

 

Possession of a Management qualification (ILM/CMI), knowledge of FE reforms, funding streams, and OFSTED framework and Employer engagement experience are desirable.
