Morgan Hunt is delighted to be partnering with a leading regulatory organisation to recruit a Front-End Developer. This is an exciting opportunity to join an established Digital team developing modern web and mobile applications that support critical services used across the organisation.

This role is ideal for an experienced Front-End Developer who enjoys creating accessible, responsive, and user-focused applications using modern technologies, while working closely with Technical Leads, Back-End Developers, UX specialists, and business stakeholders.

The Opportunity

As a Front-End Developer, you’ll play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining responsive web and mobile applications that deliver an outstanding user experience across desktop and mobile platforms.

Working within an Agile environment, you’ll help shape front-end development standards, contribute to technical design discussions, and build scalable applications using the latest web technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance and maintain modern front-end web and mobile applications.
• Build responsive, accessible, and user-focused interfaces using Angular, TypeScript, HTML5 and CSS.
• Work collaboratively with Back-End Developers to deliver high-quality client-server applications.
• Translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Produce clean, maintainable, reusable code following development best practice.
• Contribute to application architecture, coding standards and development frameworks.
• Participate in technical design discussions and code reviews.
• Support continuous improvement of development processes, tooling and front-end technologies.
• Mentor Junior Developers and provide technical guidance where required.
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and provide accurate development estimates.

About You

We’re looking for an experienced Front-End Developer who enjoys solving complex technical problems while delivering exceptional user experiences.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Commercial experience developing responsive web applications using Angular 18+, TypeScript, HTML5 and CSS3.
• Strong understanding of responsive and adaptive web design.
• Experience consuming RESTful APIs and working with Web APIs.
• Experience with Git and source control.
• Knowledge of front-end build tools including Gulp and Webpack.
• Understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG) and accessibility testing.
• Experience producing clean, maintainable and scalable code.
• Strong UX awareness and an eye for intuitive user interface design.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Desirable Experience

• Microsoft MVC 5 or later.
• Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Experience working within Agile software development teams.
• Experience mentoring junior developers.
