Are you an organised, proactive, and people-focused administrator with a flair for events?

Our client, a leading professional membership body within the healthcare sector, is seeking an Events Administrator to join their busy and supportive Events Team. This is a full-time position for 6 months paying £20.32 per hour (umbrella).

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys seeing events come to life, from initial planning to on-the-day delivery. You’ll play a key role in supporting a wide range of conferences, training sessions, and professional events (both online and in-person).

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality administrative support to the Events Manager and wider team.

  • Act as the first point of contact for event-related enquiries.

  • Manage event communications, including invitations, reminders, and confirmations.

  • Process delegate and speaker registrations, payments, and refunds.

  • Prepare and deliver promotional materials and social media content to market events.

  • Coordinate logistics for in-person events – from delegate packs to name badges.

  • Provide onsite support to delegates, speakers, and organisers.

  • Set up and technically produce online events, including managing audio, video, and presentation controls.

  • Conduct pre-event technical checks with speakers and support attendees during online sessions.

  • Create and update event webpages and reports.

About You

You’ll be someone who is:

  • Exceptionally organised, with great attention to detail.

  • An excellent communicator with a friendly and professional manner.

  • Comfortable providing first-class customer service, both online and in person.

  • Calm and capable under pressure, with strong problem-solving skills.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in administration within the public sector

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Good IT skills and confidence using databases, CRM systems, and MS Office.

  • Experience managing a high volume of emails and calls.

  • Willingness to attend and support in-person events (occasional travel required).

Desirable:

  • Experience supporting conferences or training events.

  • Knowledge of CMS/webpage editing and social media promotion.

  • Experience using online meeting or streaming platforms.
