We are currently recruiting for an experienced and enthusiastic English Lecturer to join a well-established further education provider in Romford. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator who is committed to helping learners achieve their full potential.

This is a full-time temporary position, working 35 hours per week across 5 days, starting on 31 August 2026 and continuing until 4 June 2027.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and effective English lessons to students across a range of levels.
• Plan, prepare, and assess high-quality learning programmes.
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Maintain accurate student records and complete all required administrative duties.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support learner achievement and departmental objectives.

Requirements

• A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS or equivalent).
• A relevant English qualification.
• Previous experience teaching English within a Further Education or secondary education setting.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• A passion for supporting learners to achieve their academic goals.
