This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced English Lecturer to join a supportive FE environment and make a positive impact on learners achievement and progression.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and high-quality English lessons to FE learners.
• Plan and prepare effective lessons in line with curriculum requirements.
• Teach English across relevant levels and programmes.
• Assess learner work and provide constructive feedback.
• Monitor learner progress, attendance and achievement.
• Develop engaging teaching and learning resources.
• Support learners with different abilities and learning needs.
• Maintain accurate assessment and learner records.
• Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support positive learner outcomes.
• Promote a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Follow all safeguarding, equality, health and safety policies and procedures.

About You

We’re looking for an English Lecturer who has:

• Recent experience teaching English within Further Education or a similar educational setting.
• Strong subject knowledge in English.
• Experience teaching GCSE English and/or Functional Skills English.
• A relevant English-related degree or qualification.
• A recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE, Cert Ed, DET, DTLLS or equivalent is desirable.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Experience assessing learner work and supporting learner progression.
• A genuine passion for education and helping learners achieve their potential.
