Electrical Assessor (FE College)
Full-Time | Permanent | £40,000 per annum

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established Further Education college for an experienced Electrical Assessor to join their growing Apprenticeships and Work-Based Learning team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified assessor with industry experience in electrical installation to support and develop apprentices across a range of standards.

The Role

You will be responsible for managing a caseload of electrical apprentices, supporting them through to successful completion of their qualifications. The role involves a mix of workplace assessment, portfolio support, and ensuring learners meet all required standards.

You will also contribute to internal quality assurance (IQA) processes and support standardisation activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and support apprentices working towards electrical qualifications
• Deliver high-quality, workplace-based assessments and reviews
• Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback
• Ensure timely achievement of qualifications and EPA readiness
• Maintain accurate learner records in line with compliance requirements
• Support internal quality assurance (IQA) activities

Requirements

• Relevant electrical industry qualifications (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
• Recognised Assessor qualification (e.g. CAVA, A1, TAQA)
• Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) qualification
• Recent industry experience in electrical installation
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Experience within FE or apprenticeship delivery (preferred)
