Cyber Security Architect (Salesforce)
MUST HAVE ACTIVE SC CLEARANCE
Morgan Hunt are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading UK Government organisation for a Cyber Security Architect to join the team on an initial 6-month contract.
This role will play a key part in ensuring the organisation’s systems and platforms are secure, resilient, and aligned with national standards and cyber security best practice.
This position requires active SC Clearance and will involve attending either the London, Cardiff, or Glasgow office 1 day per week.
Rate: £700-£800 per day
Contract: Initial 6 months
IR35 Status: Inside IR35
Key Responsibilities
- Define and lead the organisation’s cyber security architecture strategy, principles, and long-term roadmap.
- Design, review, and assure secure architectures across complex technology programmes and platforms, including Salesforce environments.
- Identify security vulnerabilities and recommend proportionate mitigation strategies.
- Provide expert guidance on the security implications of emerging technologies, including cloud services, microservices, and identity/access management solutions.
- Maintain and manage security, privacy, and resilience risk registers.
- Lead security assurance activities aligned to CAF and NCSC guidance.
- Oversee penetration testing, vulnerability management, and remediation activities.
- Ensure value for money across cyber security tooling and third-party security services.
- Manage supplier and third-party relationships to ensure security requirements are effectively embedded within contracts and delivery.
- Act as a senior point of contact for cyber security advice and stakeholder briefings across the organisation.
Required Experience
- Chartered status via the UK Cyber Security Council, CISSP certification, or equivalent.
- Strong technical background across IT infrastructure and/or software development, including Salesforce environments.
- Extensive experience designing and reviewing secure architectures within complex enterprise environments.
- Strong understanding of cyber risk assessment, risk management, and intelligence-led decision-making.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and communicate complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience implementing pragmatic approaches to security, privacy, and operational resilience.
- Experience managing strategic cyber security initiatives and adapting delivery in response to emerging threats and risks.
- Experience managing and negotiating third-party contracts with embedded security and compliance requirements.
Please note: This role is Inside IR35, requires active SC Clearance, and involves onsite attendance 1 day per week in either London, Cardiff, or Glasgow.
