Criminal Justice – Recovery Worker

💰 £16-£22ph Umbrella – dependent on experience

🔹 Less than 12 months’ experience: £16-£18ph

🔹 1-3 years’ experience: £18-£20ph

🔹 3+ years’ experience: Up to £22ph

We are currently recruiting for a Criminal Justice Recovery Worker to join a specialist substance misuse service in Worthing on a 3-month temporary assignment.

You’ll support adults involved in the criminal justice system with substance misuse needs, helping them work towards recovery, reduce harm and reduce reoffending.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of criminal justice service users.
• Complete assessments and individual recovery plans.
• Deliver substance misuse, harm reduction and recovery interventions.
• Support individuals subject to DRRs, licence conditions and out-of-court disposals.
• Carry out assertive outreach to engage harder-to-reach service users.
• Work closely with Probation, HMP services and other partner agencies.
• Attend multi-agency meetings and complete professional reports and case notes.
• Support wider needs including housing, employment, health and social wellbeing.

About You

• Direct substance misuse / recovery experience.
• Experience working with criminal justice clients.
• Caseload management and assessment experience.
• Strong communication and report-writing skills.
• Experience with Probation, Courts, Police or HMP services is desirable.
