We’re looking for a Domestic Violence Specialist – Complex Needs Support Worker to deliver powerful, trauma-informed outreach support across Nottingham City.
You’ll work alongside women experiencing domestic abuse and complex needs, including:
Homelessness
Substance misuse
Mental and physical health challenges
Offending history
This is a dynamic, community-based role. You’ll be:
Delivering proactive outreach support across the city
Leading community drop-in sessions
Supporting women resettling after refuge or temporary accommodation
Co-locating with statutory partners, including regular work at Loxley House
Advocating at MARAC, court, housing, probation, and multi-agency meetings

You are:
Experienced in supporting women affected by domestic abuse and complex needs
Confident in risk assessment, safety planning and advocacy
Trauma-informed, non-judgemental and survivor-centred
Skilled at managing a varied caseload in fast-paced environments
Passionate about partnership working and collaborative solutions
Committed to feminist values, anti-discriminatory practice and continuous improvement
A Women’s Aid or SafeLives Level 3 qualification is desirable (or willingness to achieve it).
£26,705 (Scale Point 17 – Unqualified)
£28,340 (Scale Point 20 – Qualified)
Based across city premises, community locations and co-located with statutory partners across Nottingham City.
This role will start as a temporary contract for 12 weeks, with the intention to transfer to a permanent contract following successful completion.

Enhanced DBS required
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (desirable)
6-month probationary period
