Job Title: Chemistry Lecturer

Location: Greater Manchester

Pay rate: £32-40 pound per hour

About the Role / Job Summary:

Greater Manchester FE college are seeking a dedicated Chemistry Lecturer to join our team. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the education of students in a dynamic further education environment. The role involves delivering BTEC and T Level courses in Chemistry, focusing on levels 2 and 3. The contract is temporary, set to begin on the 3rd of September 2026, for a duration of approximately 2-4 weeks, covering for a staff member on medical leave.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging lessons in Chemistry for BTEC and T Level students.
• Provide additional tutorial and pastoral support to students as necessary.
• Monitor student progress and performance, ensuring adherence to college standards.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational experience.
• Prepare lesson plans and assess student work.

Qualifications:

• A UK recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, DTLLS, Cert Ed, or equivalent).
• Experience delivering BTEC and T Level courses in Chemistry.
• Strong subject knowledge in Chemistry and related fields.
• Current DBS on the update service.

Education Requirements:

• Relevant degree in Chemistry or a closely related field.
• Teaching qualification is essential.

Experience Requirements:

• Previous experience in teaching Chemistry at the further education level.
• Experience with BTEC and T Level curriculum is preferred.
• Ability to engage and motivate students.
