Caseworker (Floating Support) – Women’s Services

Location: Birmingham (travel required)

Pay: £20-22 Umbrella (per hour)

Contract: Temporary to Permanent – 16 weeks

DBS: Child and adult cleared on the update service

Are you passionate about supporting women with complex needs to feel safe, valued and empowered?

We are looking for a compassionate and resilient Caseworker (Floating Support) in Birmingham to work alongside women facing challenges such as trauma, domestic abuse, mental ill health, substance misuse, housing instability and involvement with the criminal justice system.

The Role

You will manage a caseload of women, offering holistic, trauma-informed support tailored to each individual. This includes completing risk and needs assessments, creating support plans, advocating within multi-agency settings, accompanying women to appointments, and empowering them to make positive, sustainable changes.

You will work closely with colleagues, contribute to centre-wide activities, and play an active role in creating a welcoming, supportive environment for women accessing the service.

What a Caseworker will be expected to do:

• Experience supporting vulnerable and/or complex women
• Confident managing a caseload and working in a trauma-informed way
• Strong communicator with empathy, resilience and professionalism
• Knowledge of safeguarding, domestic abuse, mental health, substance misuse or the criminal justice system
• Organised, flexible and comfortable working in multi-agency settings
• Willing to reflect on and challenge personal bias

Essential as a Caseworker:

• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle (business use)
• Ability to travel across the West Midlands
