Carpentry Technician

Location: South London

Rate: £23 per hour

Contract: Long-term temporary

About the Role

We are working with a Further Education college in South London to recruit a skilled and reliable Carpentry Technician to support the delivery of practical construction training.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Carpenter or Joiner who enjoys working in a workshop environment and wants to use their industry knowledge to support the next generation of tradespeople.

• Prepare and maintain carpentry workshops, tools, equipment and materials for practical lessons.
• Support lecturers during practical sessions, demonstrations and assessments.
• Provide technical guidance to learners, helping them develop their practical skills safely and confidently.
• Ensure workshops are organised, well-stocked and maintained to a high standard.

What we are looking for

• Relevant industry experience in Carpentry and Joinery.
• A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Carpentry and Joinery, or an equivalent trade qualification.
• Good knowledge of carpentry tools, equipment, materials and workshop health and safety.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to support learners and work effectively alongside teaching staff.
