Job Title: Careers Adviser

Location: London

Salary: £25-£30 PH

🎓 About the Role

We are seeking a qualified and motivated Careers Adviser (Level 6) to deliver high-quality, impartial careers guidance to students in a school/college setting.

You will support learners in making informed decisions about their future pathways, including university, apprenticeships, and employment, in line with the Gatsby Benchmarks.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 careers guidance interviews to students (Level 6 standard)
  • Support students with UCAS applications, personal statements, and career planning
  • Deliver group sessions on employability, progression routes, and labour market information (LMI)
  • Work with SLT and the Careers Leader to meet Gatsby Benchmarks
  • Build relationships with employers, universities, and apprenticeship providers
  • Maintain accurate records of student guidance and destinations data
  • Support careers events, workshops, and work experience programmes

👤 About You

  • Level 6 Careers Guidance qualification (CIAG) – essential
  • Experience delivering careers advice in schools, colleges, or similar settings
  • Strong knowledge of UK education pathways, UCAS, apprenticeships, and LMI
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to engage and motivate young people

Desirable:

  • Experience in FE college or sixth form setting
  • Knowledge of Gatsby Benchmarks and Ofsted expectations
  • Experience working with SEN or vulnerable learners
