Job Title: Career Advisor

Location: Wolverhampton

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Up to £35 per hour

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and student-focused Career Advisor to support individuals in making informed decisions about their education, training, and career pathways. You will provide high-quality guidance, helping clients identify their strengths, explore opportunities, and achieve their professional goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver one-to-one and group career guidance sessions
  • Support clients with career planning, goal setting, and progression pathways
  • Assist with CV writing, job applications, and interview preparation
  • Provide up-to-date labour market information and education/training advice
  • Build relationships with employers, training providers, and educational institutions
  • Organise and deliver workshops, career events, and employability sessions
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with data protection policies

Requirements

  • Degree in Careers Guidance, Education, Psychology, or a related field
  • Relevant qualification in Career Guidance (e.g., Level 6/7 Diploma in Career Guidance – desirable)
  • Experience in careers advice, coaching, or education support
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with diverse individuals, including young people and adults
  • Knowledge of labour market trends and education pathways

Desirable Skills

  • Experience working in schools, colleges, or training environments
  • Understanding of employability skills and recruitment processes
  • Ability to deliver workshops and group sessions
  • Knowledge of online career tools and platforms
