• Pay: Up to £38 per hour

• Contract Type: Full-Time

• Location: SS14 1GP

• Start Date: Immediately

We are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Business Lecturer to deliver engaging, high-quality teaching across business-related programmes. The successful candidate will have strong subject knowledge, a passion for education and the ability to support learners in developing the skills and understanding required to succeed in business and progress into further study or employment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons across business-related courses and qualifications.

• Prepare schemes of learning, lesson plans and teaching resources in line with curriculum and awarding body requirements.

• Teach business topics such as marketing, finance, enterprise, management and business operations, as appropriate to the curriculum.

• Use a range of teaching methods and resources to meet learners’ needs and promote participation.

• Assess learner progress, mark assignments and provide constructive feedback to support achievement.

• Monitor attendance, progress and performance, maintaining accurate learner records.

• Support learners with their personal development and progression into further study or employment.

• Create an inclusive and supportive learning environment that encourages learner engagement and achievement.

• Ensure teaching, assessment and record-keeping comply with relevant quality standards, safeguarding requirements and college policies.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience teaching or lecturing in Business or a related subject.

• Strong subject knowledge across relevant business topics.

• The ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet curriculum and awarding body requirements.

• Experience assessing learner work, monitoring progress and providing constructive feedback.

• Excellent communication, organisation and classroom management skills.

• The ability to use digital learning platforms and technology to support teaching and assessment.

• A commitment to learner achievement, development and progression.

• A relevant Business qualification and an appropriate teaching qualification, where required.

• An understanding of safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion within an educational setting.
