Job Title: Business Lecturer

Location: Carlisle, United Kingdom

About the Role / Job Summary:

As a Business Lecturer at a Further Education College in Cumbria. This role offers an exciting opportunity to teach BTEC Level 3 and potentially T Levels. You will be part of a dynamic educational environment, contributing to the development of students’ skills and knowledge in business. The position is set to start on 2nd September and will continue until the permanent vacancy is filled. You will work three days a week, specifically on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, totalling 22.5 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging lessons primarily focused on BTEC Level 3 and possibly T Levels.
• Support students in achieving their academic goals.
• Monitor and assess learner progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Ensure compliance with educational standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the learning experience.

Qualifications:

• A teaching qualification is preferred.
• Experience in delivering business education in a Further Education setting.
• DBS on update service or willingness to obtain one.

Education Requirements:

• Relevant degree in Business or related field.
• Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed) is desirable.

Experience Requirements:

• Previous experience in a teaching role, particularly in Business.
• Proven track record of engaging students in Further Education.
• Experience with BTEC and T Level curricula is advantageous.
