Are you a Building Control Interim Lead for work in Northamptonshire, England?

Morgan Hunt’s Public Sector and Government client based in Northamptonshire is looking to recruit a Building Control Interim Lead to oversee and manage the Council’s Building Control service. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance with Building Control and Safety statutory requirements while providing professional advice to the Council and key stakeholders

This assignment has been deemed inside of IR35 and will offer hybrid working.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

• Leading and managing the Building Control service across North Northamptonshire.
• Providing professional advice and guidance on Building Control/Safety and associated issues.
• Implementing the building safety Levy.
• Developing strategies for marketing and promoting the service to increase market share.
• Ensuring compliance with service quality assurance standards and BSR requirements.
• Supporting the Assistant Director in the development and implementation of relevant strategies.

Ideally, the successful candidate will:

• Be able to drive and have access to a vehicle.
• Hold extensive knowledge of managing Building Control and/or Building Surveying Services.
• Have strong contract management and project management skills.
• Have excellent business and service planning knowledge.
• Hold a relevant professional Degree or Diploma in a relevant discipline (e.g., Building studies, civil or structural engineering).
• Be a registered Building Inspector at an appropriate level with the Building Safety Regulator.
• Hold a membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS, CIOB, CABE).
