Receptionist – Mental Health Services

Location: South London (exact location disclosed upon application)

Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours/week (Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:00)

Pay: £19.19/hour via umbrella company

Contract: 6-12 weeks

Are you highly organised, confident using IT systems, and passionate about supporting people’s mental health and well-being? We’re seeking a receptionist/administrator to join a busy mental health assessment and support team in South London.

About the Role

This front-line service is a vital first point of contact for adults seeking mental health support in the community. You will be the first voice that people encounter. Ensuring referrals are processed efficiently, enquiries are handled professionally, and service users are connected to the right support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Logging and managing referrals on internal databases
  • Responding to emails and handling complex enquiries
  • Taking telephone referrals and providing accurate information
  • Navigating multiple IT systems including databases and Microsoft Excel
  • Producing accurate data, reports, and analysis for the team

You’ll Excel in This Role If You:

  • Have experience in a customer-facing or administrative role (or relevant transferable skills)
  • Are a confident communicator and relationship builder
  • Are organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Have strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and database systems
  • Can work flexibly and collaboratively within a busy team
