Additional Learning Support Practitioner – Personal Care
Barnet and Southgate College | Southgate, N14

Morgan Hunt is seeking an Additional Learning Support Practitioner to help students with SEND engage in learning and develop everyday skills at Barnet and Southgate College.

You will work alongside lecturers and support staff to provide individualised assistance. Personal care is an essential part of this role, so previous experience is required.

Key duties include:

• Adapting learning activities under the direction of teaching staff.

• Supporting students’ communication, engagement and independence.

• Delivering personal care in accordance with individual needs and care plans.

• Helping students work towards their learning and EHCP outcomes.

• Promoting safeguarding, dignity and inclusion.

Suitable applicants will have:

• Experience in education, SEND support or a relevant care setting.

• Practical experience delivering personal care.

• A flexible approach to supporting different learning needs.

• An enhanced adult and child DBS registered on the Update Service.
