College Cleaner

Location: Bury St Edmunds

Pay: £13-17 per hour

Start Date: ASAP

Contract: Long-term temporary, until Christmas at least

About the Role

We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Cleaner to join an FE College in Bury St Edmunds. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous cleaning experience who takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment for students, staff and visitors.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the college, ensuring classrooms, communal areas and facilities are kept clean and presentable.

Job Responsibilities

• Cleaning classrooms, offices, corridors, communal areas and washroom facilities.
• Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and dusting designated areas.
• Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately.
• Cleaning and sanitising surfaces, desks, touch points and frequently used areas.
• Replenishing cleaning supplies and reporting any maintenance or health and safety concerns.
• Following college cleaning procedures and health and safety guidelines.

Requirements

• Previous cleaning experience is desirable.
• Good attention to detail and the ability to maintain high cleaning standards.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Enhanced DBS certificate required.
• Good understanding of health and safety and safe handling of cleaning products.

Benefits
