Job Title: Domestic Abuse Outreach Worker

About the Role / Job Summary:
This role focuses on providing support, advice, and assistance to individuals and families affected by domestic abuse. The Domestic Abuse Outreach Worker will empower victims and survivors to make positive choices while facilitating a safe environment. The position involves community-based work, resettlement services, and collaboration with various agencies to ensure comprehensive support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide safety planning, support, and assistance to adults in the community.
  • Work in partnership with relevant services to deliver initial advice and guidance.
  • Identify and assess risks and needs of domestic abuse victims using a structured checklist.
  • Escort clients to appointments and assist with safe transportation when necessary.
  • Develop and regularly review individual support plans to meet client needs.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in social care or a related field.
  • Strong advocacy and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple agencies.

Education Requirements:

  • No specific educational requirements; relevant experience is valued.

Experience Requirements:

  • Experience providing one-to-one services for victims of domestic abuse.
  • Ability to conduct safety planning and risk assessments.
  • Experience in advocacy and support for diverse client needs.
