Communication Support Worker – BSL Level 3+ | South East London

Morgan Hunt is currently looking to speak with experienced Communication Support Workers to support Deaf and hearing-impaired learners within Further Education settings across South East London.

We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates who hold a BSL Level 3 qualification or above and have experience supporting young people within an education setting.

The ideal candidate will have:

• BSL Level 3 or above

• Experience working as a Communication Support Worker or in a similar role

• Experience supporting Deaf and hearing-impaired learners

• Experience working with young people, ideally within Further Education

• The ability to support learners both in and outside of the classroom

• A good understanding of safeguarding within education

• A fully Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service

The role may involve:

• Providing BSL communication support during lessons

• Supporting learners to access teaching and learning materials

• Working closely with lecturers, support teams and other professionals

• Promoting learners’ independence and confidence

• Supporting effective communication between learners, staff and their peers
