About the Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Uniformed Public Services Lecturer to join a Further Education college in Greater Manchester on an ongoing agency contract.

The successful candidate will deliver Level 3 Uniformed Public Services provision, supporting learners to develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours required for progression into careers within the armed forces, police, fire service and wider public services.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and effective Level 3 Uniformed Public Services teaching.
• Plan and prepare lessons in line with curriculum and awarding-body requirements.
• Assess learner work and provide constructive feedback.
• Support learners with their academic and personal development.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress and assessment.
• Contribute to the wider Public Services curriculum and college activities.
• Promote positive behaviour and maintain a supportive learning environment.

Requirements

• Relevant teaching experience within Uniformed Public Services.
• Experience delivering Level 3 Public Services programmes.
• Relevant subject knowledge and qualifications.
• Teaching qualification such as PGCE, Cert Ed or equivalent is desirable.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• A current Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service is essential.
• Available to commit to an ongoing, 35-hour-per-week assignment.
