British Sign Language Support Worker – East London

Help Learners Find Their Voice and Reach Their Potential

Are you a qualified BSL professional looking for a role where you can make a genuine difference every day?

Morgan Hunt is looking for enthusiastic and compassionate British Sign Language Support Workers with a Level 2 or Level 3 BSL qualification to support students aged 16-19 within leading Further Education colleges across East London.

This is more than just a support role. You’ll help deaf and hearing-impaired learners feel included, grow in confidence and get the most from their college experience.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Providing one-to-one and classroom support for deaf learners
• Communicating confidently with students using British Sign Language
• Helping learners access lessons, assessments and college activities
• Working closely with lecturers and learning support teams
• Encouraging students to become more independent and confident
• Celebrating their progress and helping them achieve their goals

What We’re Looking For

• A recognised BSL Level 2 or Level 3 qualification
• Experience supporting young people or adults within education, SEND or a similar environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A caring, patient and encouraging approach
• Reliability, professionalism and a genuine passion for supporting others
• An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
