Science Lecturer Opportunity – East London

Start Date: September | Contract: Temporary Ongoing | Hours: Full-Time or Part-Time.

An established Further Education provider in East London is looking to appoint a passionate Science Lecturer to join their curriculum team. This role is ideal for an enthusiastic educator who is committed to delivering high-quality teaching and helping young people achieve their full potential.

You will be responsible for delivering Science programmes to 16-19 learners, creating engaging learning experiences that develop subject knowledge, practical skills and learner confidence. The successful candidate will join a supportive department that values collaboration, innovation and student achievement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and effective Science lessons across a range of post-16 programmes.
• Plan, prepare and assess learning activities to support learner progress.
• Provide constructive feedback and guidance to help students achieve their qualifications.
• Monitor attendance, progress and achievement using college systems.
• Promote an inclusive learning environment where all learners can succeed.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to improve curriculum delivery

Candidate Requirements:

• Relevant Science qualification or degree.
• Experience teaching Science within a secondary or further education setting.
• Teaching qualification such as PGCE, Cert Ed or equivalent (desirable).
• Commitment to safeguarding, equality and learner development.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
