We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Maths Lecturer to join our successful and supportive team at our Further Education college. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire learners, develop their confidence in mathematics, and help them achieve their academic and career ambitions.

About the Role

As a Maths Lecturer, you will:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and inclusive maths lessons.
  • Teach students across a range of qualifications, including GCSE and Functional Skills (A Level experience is desirable).
  • Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support learners to achieve their full potential.
  • Create a positive and motivating learning environment that promotes achievement and wellbeing.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching, learning and assessment.
  • Participate in college events, tutorials, parents’ evenings and professional development activities.

About You

You will have:

  • A degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject.
  • A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent), or a willingness to work towards one.
  • Experience of teaching mathematics in Further Education, Secondary Education or a related setting.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A commitment to inclusive education and supporting learners from diverse backgrounds.
  • The ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve excellent outcomes.
