This organisation have experienced rapid growth in recent years due to their modern and fresh approach. The services on offer range from design, TTD, dilapidations, surveys, NEC 3, decarb studies, technically advisory work and more. They operate across multiple sectors including Education, Commercial, Healthcare and MoD.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and delivery of mechanical building services projects across multiple sectors
  • Manage project teams to deliver high-quality, coordinated engineering solutions on time and within budget.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide technical leadership in HVAC, heating, cooling, ventilation, public health, and low-carbon building services design.
  • Oversee project planning, resource allocation, programme management, and financial performance.
  • Review and approve technical reports, calculations, specifications, and drawings.
  • Support business development activities, including preparing fee proposals, attending client meetings, and identifying new opportunities.
  • Mentor and develop graduate, intermediate, and senior engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
  • Ensure compliance with current legislation, British Standards, Building Regulations, and sustainability requirements.
  • Promote innovation, digital engineering, and best practice throughout project delivery.

Qualifications / Experience

  • Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or working towards chartership with CIBSE or IMechE.
  • Significant experience delivering mechanical building services projects within a consultancy environment.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, public health services, low-carbon technologies, and sustainable design principles.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary design teams and coordinating with external consultants.
  • Excellent client-facing, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Commercial awareness with experience managing project budgets and programmes.
  • Proficient in industry software such as Hevacomp, IES VE, AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design packages.
