You’ll:

  • Assess student work in line with awarding body requirements and support students to achieve their full potential.
  • Deliver tutorials, monitor student progress, and maintain accurate records.
  • Share your industry expertise and ensure teaching reflects current best practice in animal care and welfare.
  • Develop creative learning resources and contribute to exciting new curriculum initiatives.
  • Care for the College’s animal collection, ensuring the highest standards of health and welfare.
  • Work closely with animal care staff, technicians, and colleagues to coordinate practical learning activities.
  • Build relationships with employers, guest speakers, and animal welfare organisations to enrich the student experience.
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment at all times.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about animals, enthusiastic about education, and eager to make a difference.

You’ll ideally have:

  • Experience working with a variety of species within a zoo, farm, wildlife, or animal management setting.
  • A genuine commitment to exceptional animal welfare.
  • Experience handling and presenting animals for educational purposes.
  • Experience teaching, training, mentoring, or supporting learners in an educational or practical environment.
  • Experience working with 16-18-year-olds, apprentices, and adult learners.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • A collaborative approach and a passion for continuous learning and innovation.

Why Join Us?

Based in North London, you’ll become part of a welcoming and passionate team dedicated to delivering outstanding education and preparing students for rewarding careers in the animal industry. This temporary opportunity offers the chance to make a real impact while working in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same.

If you’re ready to share your expertise, champion excellent animal welfare, and inspire the next generation of animal professionals, we’d love to hear from you.
