Temporary Ongoing | Full-Time or Part-Time | September Start

Are you an enthusiastic English Lecturer looking for your next opportunity this September? We’re working in partnership with a highly regarded college in East London that is seeking a motivated and passionate educator to join their team on an ongoing temporary basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference, teaching and supporting 16-19-year-old learners as they develop their English skills, build confidence, and achieve their academic goals. You’ll be joining a welcoming department with a strong commitment to student success, excellent teaching resources, and a collaborative team culture.

The Role

• Deliver engaging and inclusive English lessons to 16-19-year-old students.
• Plan, prepare, and assess lessons that inspire learners to achieve their full potential.
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support achievement.
• Create a positive and supportive learning environment where students can thrive.

About You

We’re looking for someone who has:

• A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS or equivalent) – desirable.
• A degree in English or a related subject.
• Previous experience teaching English, ideally within Further Education or secondary education.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
