We are currently recruiting on behalf of North East Surrey College of Technology (Nescot) for a full-time, temporary Computing Lecturer to join their dedicated teaching team. The Role

As a Computing Lecturer, you will deliver engaging and high-quality lessons across a range of Further Education computing programmes. You will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons, assessing learner progress, and creating a positive learning environment that enables students to achieve their full potential.

This is a full-time temporary position, working 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality teaching across Further Education Computing courses.
• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that meet awarding body requirements.
• Assess student work and provide constructive feedback.
• Monitor student attendance, progress, and achievement.
• Support learners to develop both technical knowledge and employability skills.
• Maintain accurate records in line with college policies.
• Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement initiatives.
• Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion at all times.

Requirements

• A recognised qualification in Computing, Computer Science, IT, or a related subject.
• Previous teaching or training experience within Further Education or a similar educational setting.
• A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd, DTLLS, or equivalent) is desirable, although candidates with strong industry experience may also be considered.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• A passion for helping students achieve their goals.
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
