Counselling Consultant

Hours: 21 hours per week (3 days)

Contract: Until the end of October 2026

Start Date: ASAP

We are seeking an experienced Counselling Consultant to support a leading college with a CPCAB Compliance and Quality Enhancement project. This is an excellent opportunity for a counselling professional with strong quality assurance experience to lead improvements across the counselling provision and ensure full compliance with CPCAB standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and implement actions from the CPCAB Quality Assurance report.
• Lead quality assurance and compliance activities across the counselling provision.
• Audit policies, procedures and internal quality assurance processes.
• Develop evidence portfolios and action plans to meet CPCAB requirements.
• Identify areas for improvement and implement best practice.
• Deliver guidance and training to staff on CPCAB standards and quality processes.
• Support the college in preparing for future CPCAB quality assurance visits.

Essential Requirements

• Level 4 or Level 5 Counselling qualification.
• Assessor qualification (e.g. CAVA, A1 or TAQA).
• Internal Quality Assurance qualification (e.g. IQA, IV, V1 or TAQA).
• Strong knowledge of CPCAB standards and quality assurance processes.
• Experience within further education or adult learning is highly desirable.
