Job Title: Lead Cloud Engineer

Location: London, (1-2 days per week in office)

Rate: 500 per day , Inside IR35

About the Role

We are seeking a Lead Cloud Engineer to oversee the design, delivery, and optimization of cloud infrastructure. This role involves ensuring that cloud applications and services are secure, high-performing, and sustainable, providing a high-quality user experience for software engineers and other users. The successful candidate will play a key role in the continued development of a robust multi-cloud platform (AWS and Google) recognized within the public sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver self-service cloud infrastructure and tooling.
• Maintain and enhance the multi-cloud platform, automating processes for efficiency.
• Collaborate with senior team members to evolve cloud engineering architecture.
• Lead the implementation of security practices aligned with organizational objectives.
• Develop organizational policies and standards for cloud-based service design.

Qualifications:

• AWS Solutions Architect certification or equivalent experience.
• Google Professional Cloud Architect certification or equivalent experience.
• Experience in cloud engineering at SFIA level 6.

Experience Requirements:

• Proven experience in cloud service design and implementation.
• Experience in developing policies and guidelines for cloud services.
• Strong background in systems integration and automation.
