We’re currently recruiting for a SEND Teaching Assistant at a vibrant mainstream secondary school in the London Borough of Hounslow. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young people.

Position Details

  • Role: SEND Teaching Assistant
  • Location: Mainstream secondary school, Hounslow
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Salary: £550.00 per week

Rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted and ‘Outstanding’ for personal development, the school prides itself on being inclusive, supportive, and committed to the success of all students. You’ll be joining a dedicated SEND team with strong leadership and a positive working culture.

Your Role

You’ll play a vital role in helping students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities access the curriculum and reach their full potential. Your day-to-day duties will include:

  • Providing in-class support to SEND students across a range of subjects
  • Assisting students during break times, lunch, trips, and extra-curricular activities
  • Using positive behaviour strategies to support student wellbeing
  • Collaborating with teachers, SENCO, and other professionals to achieve the best outcomes

What We’re Looking For

  • A positive attitude and a genuine passion for working with SEND students
  • Previous experience working with SEND or vulnerable individuals in education, healthcare, social care, or youth/community work
  • Strong emotional intelligence, empathy, and excellent communication skills
  • A desire to learn and grow – full training and CPD opportunities are provided
