English Lecturer – (2 roles) Job Description

• Both roles will start in September 2026 for the full academic year
• One contract will be 2.5 days per week and the other contract will be for 3.5 days per week
• Teaching GCSE and Functional Skills English
• £30-37 pound per hour
• FE College in Greater Manchester
• Must have DBS on the update service
• Must have level 5 teaching qualification

Responsibilities of this role as a English Lecturer:

• Working in the English Department, you will be working with a variety of learners and be expected to meet the College’s standards of work
• Providing additional tutorial and pastoral support to students across the College as required
• Delivering GCSE English and Functional Skills

  Requirements of this role as a Business Lecturer:

• A UK recognised teaching qualification, such as a PGCE, DTLLS, Cert Ed, or equivalent is essential
• Experience of delivering the subject.
• A English related Degree is essential or similar
• A current DBS on the update service
