Careers Advisor – West London

Temporary | Part-Time (0.5 FTE) | Start September 2026

A successful college in West London is seeking a dedicated Careers Advisor to join their team. This role involves providing impartial careers education, information, advice, and guidance (CEIAG) to students, complementing the work of a permanent part-time advisor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct one-to-one careers guidance interviews to assist students in making informed decisions about education, training, apprenticeships, and employment.
  • Deliver workshops, group sessions, and presentations on CV writing, interview skills, university applications, and job searching.
  • Support students who are uncertain about their next steps or withdrawing from courses, aiding them in accessing alternative opportunities.
  • Organise and support careers fairs, employer events, and networking opportunities.
  • Collaborate with curriculum teams, employers, universities, and training providers to enhance student progression.

Requirements:

  • A recognised Level 4 Careers Guidance qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
  • Experience working with young people or adults in education, careers, employability, or guidance settings.
  • Knowledge of the Gatsby Benchmarks and careers guidance frameworks.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply.
