About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Office Junior to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a school leaver or someone looking to start a career in business administration and accounting.

No previous office experience is required, as full training will be provided. The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience across a variety of administrative and finance functions while working alongside experienced professionals.

We are committed to supporting career development and offer opportunities for further education and professional qualifications in Business Administration, Accounting, and related fields.

The salary is dependent on experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answering telephone calls and directing enquiries appropriately.
  • Greeting visitors and assisting with reception duties.
  • Managing incoming and outgoing post.
  • Filing, scanning, and maintaining electronic and paper records.
  • Assisting with data entry and updating company systems.
  • Supporting the accounts team with basic bookkeeping and invoice processing.
  • Assisting with purchase and sales ledger administration.
  • Preparing documents, spreadsheets, and reports.
  • Ordering office supplies and helping maintain office organisation.
  • Providing general administrative support to colleagues across the business.

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic IT skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
  • Positive attitude and reliable work ethic.
  • GCSEs (or equivalent), including Maths and English preferred.

Desirable:

  • Interest in administration, finance, or accounting.
  • Previous work experience, part-time employment, or volunteering (not essential).

Training & Development

This role is designed as an entry point into a professional office environment and is particularly suited to school leavers looking to build a long-term career.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to:

  • Receive structured on-the-job training.
  • Develop practical business administration and accounting skills.
  • Work towards recognised qualifications, such as:
    • Accountancy qualifications.
    • Business Administration qualifications/apprenticeships.
    • Other relevant professional development courses.
  • Progress into Accounts Assistant, Administrator, Office Coordinator, or similar roles as experience grows
