1.1 Plan and deliver exciting and engaging lessons which help students to develop the knowledge and
skills they need.
1.2 Prepare effective learning materials using digital tools where appropriate.
1.3 Use different teaching techniques with students, tailored to the needs of the group
and ensuring that all students can work at their own pace.
1.4 Set targets for students and monitor their progress, providing additional support if necessary.
1.5 Support students to develop their English and maths skills.
1.6 Plan and facilitate appropriate assessment opportunities for students in line with awarding body
requirements.
1.7 Give feedback to students, parents, employers and other organisations as necessary in the form of
parents evening or phone calls home.
1.8 Provide effective support for students, liaising with the College student support specialist team
when necessary.

We are seeking to recruit an experienced and highly motivated individual to join Buckinghamshire College Group as a Lecturer – Multi-Skills Constructions. Based at our Aylesbury campus, this role is part time working 24.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.

Taking Teaching Further
The College actively engages with the Education & Training Foundation’s Taking Teaching Further scheme to recruit industry professionals to teach within Further Education.
As industry professionals offer our students industry experience and insight, we support our unqualified teachers to learn ‘on the job’. You will be given full support throughout your development to fully qualified teacher status. Whilst in employment you would be enrolled onto the Level 3 Award in Education and Training. After completion you can choose to move be onto our Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training qualification. This is a great way for experienced professionals to achieve a recognised teaching qualification whilst in employment.
