Aviation Engineering Lecturer

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced and passionate Aviation Engineering Lecturer to join a leading Further Education provider in London. This is a fantastic chance to inspire the next generation of aviation professionals while working within a well-equipped and forward-thinking engineering department.

The college is looking for an industry professional with strong aviation engineering knowledge who is keen to pass on their expertise to learners preparing for careers within the aerospace and aviation sectors.

The Role

You will be delivering high-quality teaching and practical instruction across Aviation Engineering programmes, supporting learners to develop the technical skills and industry knowledge needed for successful careers in the sector.

Responsibilities will include:

• Delivering engaging Aviation Engineering lessons across a range of FE programmes
• Supporting students with both practical and theoretical learning
• Preparing lesson plans, schemes of work, and assessment materials
• Monitoring student progress and providing academic support
• Ensuring workshops and learning environments remain safe and industry standard
• Working closely with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learner achievement

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

• Relevant Aviation Engineering qualifications
• Industry experience within aviation engineering, aircraft maintenance, aerospace, or related sectors
• Previous teaching or training experience within Further Education or apprenticeships is desirable
• A recognised teaching qualification is preferred, though support may be available for the right candidate
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• A passion for developing future engineering talent
