We are delighted to be supporting a well-regarded Further Education college in Northamptonshire in the recruitment of a passionate and experienced Lecturer / Assessor in Arboriculture.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an industry professional or educator to combine teaching and assessment, helping to develop the next generation of land-based learners.

✨ About the Role

As a Lecturer/Assessor in Arboriculture, you will deliver engaging teaching alongside assessing learners in practical and workplace settings.

You will play a key role in developing students’ skills, knowledge and confidence, supporting them towards successful careers in the arboriculture and land-based industries.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality teaching across arboriculture programmes
  • Assess learners in both practical and workplace environments
  • Support student progress, development and achievement
  • Provide guidance and feedback to support learning and progression
  • Contribute to curriculum development aligned to industry needs
  • Maintain accurate records of assessment and student progress
  • Work closely with employers and industry partners where required
  • Promote safeguarding, wellbeing and inclusive practice

👤 About You

You will be a knowledgeable and hands-on professional with experience in arboriculture or a related land-based field.

Whether you’re already teaching or looking to move into education, you’ll be confident sharing your expertise and supporting learners in both classroom and practical settings.

You’ll be organised, approachable and passionate about helping students succeed.

✅ Essential Requirements

  • Experience within arboriculture or a related land-based industry
  • Strong practical knowledge and hands-on skills
  • Ability to support and motivate learners
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Willingness to work towards a teaching qualification (if not already held)

  • Assessor qualification
  • Previous teaching or training experience
  • Relevant land-based qualification
