The Opportunity

We are working in partnership with a well-regarded Further Education College in Bury St Edmunds to recruit a passionate and driven Engineering Lecturer. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking department committed to delivering high-quality technical education and developing the next generation of engineers.

You’ll play a key role in delivering engaging and industry-relevant lessons across a range of engineering disciplines, helping students progress into apprenticeships, higher education, and skilled employment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality teaching across Engineering programmes (Level 1-3 and potentially higher)
  • Plan and develop innovative lesson content aligned with current industry standards
  • Support and motivate learners to achieve their full potential
  • Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement
  • Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and industry partners

Requirements

  • Relevant Engineering qualification (Level 3 or above)
  • Industry experience within an engineering discipline
  • Previous teaching or training experience (FE desirable)
  • Teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Passion for education and developing future talent
