Job Coach (Level 3) – SEN College

📍Northampton
💼 Full-time | 35 hours per week (Term-time: 39 weeks)
💰 £25,989 – £26,824 (pro rata)


🏫 About the Role

We are recruiting for a passionate and dedicated Job Coach to join a specialist Further Education college supporting young adults with learning disabilities and additional needs.

This is a highly rewarding role where you will support learners to develop the skills, confidence, and independence needed to access and sustain meaningful employment.


🎯 Key Responsibilities

  • Support learners both in college and in workplace settings
  • Deliver tailored coaching using task analysis and structured support techniques
  • Assist learners in developing employability skills and independence
  • Support CV writing, interview preparation, and job readiness
  • Work closely with employers to ensure successful work placements
  • Monitor learner progress and contribute to EHCP / individual action plans
  • Provide ongoing pastoral and behavioural support
  • Promote safeguarding, wellbeing, and inclusion at all times

✅ About You

  • Experience supporting individuals with SEN / learning disabilities
  • Background in education, employability, or support work
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to motivate and support learners with varying needs
  • Understanding of safeguarding and inclusive practice
  • Organised, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team

💡 Desirable:

  • Teaching, coaching, or assessor qualification
  • Experience working with employers or supported employment
  • Knowledge of EHCPs and employability frameworks
