Job Title: Behaviour Mentor
Location: Wolverhampton
Salary: £90 – £120 per day
Contract: Full-time | Term-time only

🏫 About the Role

We are seeking a committed and resilient Behaviour Mentor to support students with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, autism, or behavioural challenges.

You will work closely with teaching staff and the pastoral team to remove barriers to learning, improve engagement, and promote positive behaviour across the school.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with behavioural needs
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with vulnerable learners
  • Support students in managing behaviour and emotional regulation
  • Implement behaviour support plans and de-escalation strategies
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and safeguarding teams
  • Monitor and report on student progress and behaviour

👤 About You

  • Experience working with young people (school, youth work, PRU, SEN, or similar)
  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills
  • Calm, patient, and resilient under pressure
  • Understanding of SEMH, autism, or challenging behaviour
  • Team player with a proactive approach

Desirable:

  • Team Teach / MAPA training
  • Psychology, education, or youth work background
  • Experience in SEN or alternative provision
