About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable A-Level History and Politics Lecturer . This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and engage students, delivering high-quality teaching across History and Politics within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and effective lessons in A-Level History and Politics
• Plan, prepare, and assess student work in line with curriculum standards
• Support students to achieve excellent academic outcomes
• Develop and adapt teaching materials to suit diverse learning needs
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
• Contribute to curriculum development and departmental initiatives

Requirements

• A degree in History, Politics, or a related subject
• Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, CertEd) or willingness to work towards one
• Experience teaching A-Level / Sixth Form / Further Education students
• Strong subject knowledge in both History and Politics
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Passion for education and student development

Desirable

• Experience with AQA, Edexcel, or Cambridge exam boards
• Track record of strong student achievement
• Ability to contribute to enrichment activities or extracurricular programs
