Solihull College & University Centre is seeking an experienced and visionary Head of School Motor Vehicle Technology to sustain and drive innovation and excellence across our provision.
The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record of success in managing and leading programs, fostering innovation, and promoting sustainability in the automotive industry.
You will lead curriculum development, quality improvement, and recruitment strategies, ensuring outstanding teaching, learning, and assessment. Working closely with industry partners, you will drive growth in electric vehicle technology, ensuring the school is at the very forefront of automotive technology.
You will hold a degree or an equivalent industry qualification and industry experience, with a teaching qualification being essential. Proven FE management experience with a strong vocational knowledge of Motor Vehicle together with a track record of improving teaching and learning and leading successful teams is essential. Excellent communication, leadership, and networking skills and the ability to manage change, develop curriculum, and deliver high-quality outcomes for learners together with a good understanding of OFSTED framework and Employer engagement are essential to this role.
Possession of a Management qualification (ILM), Health & Safety qualification such as IOSH (Managing Safely), a knowledge of FE reforms and funding streams experience are desirable.
