We are excited to announce an opening for a Learning Support Mentor at Cambridge Regional College. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about supporting students with learning difficulties and disabilities to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborative support: Work alongside teaching staff to support students with a range of learning needs (e.g., D/deaf, Autistic Spectrum Disorders, Physical Access Needs).
• Personalized learning: Help empower students to achieve their educational outcomes, including adapting learning resources and providing study support both in and out of the classroom.
• Therapy support: Assist students with physiotherapy and speech & language therapy as per professional guidance.
• Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records in accordance with the support provided.

Requirements:

• Qualifications:
  • Level 2 Functional Skills in English and Maths.
  • Level 2 Learning Support Qualification (or working towards).
  • Relevant experience working with individuals with learning difficulties or disabilities.
• Skills & Experience:
  • Demonstrable experience supporting students with special educational needs.
  • Experience in note-taking, word processing, and using enabling technologies.
  • Sensitivity and empathy towards students with diverse learning needs.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Terms & Conditions:

• Salary: £24,577 per annum (pro-rated for part-time positions).
• Contract Type: Temporary, Term-time only.
• Location: Cambridge.
