We are seeking a Senior AI Governance Manager to provide leadership and oversight for AI governance, data ethics, and regulatory compliance within a complex, regulated environment. This role will play a key part in ensuring AI technologies are developed and used responsibly, safely, and in line with organisational and regulatory expectations.
Lead and develop AI governance frameworks, policies, and controls
Provide oversight of AI risk, data ethics, and regulatory compliance across AI-enabled services and platforms
Translate complex AI and technical concepts into clear, practical governance policies and guidance
Advise senior stakeholders on AI-related risks, controls, and decision-making
Work closely with technical, legal, risk, and policy teams to embed responsible AI practices
Support assurance, reporting, and governance forums related to AI adoption
Proven experience in AI governance, data ethics, or regulatory compliance
Strong understanding of AI technologies, associated risks, and emerging governance challenges
Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills
Demonstrated ability to turn complex technical concepts into clear, actionable governance policies
Experience operating at a senior management level in large or regulated organisations
Experience working in public sector or security-conscious environments
Familiarity with AI standards, frameworks, or regulatory guidance (e.g. responsible AI, model risk, algorithmic transparency)
