SEN Employability Tutor – Birmingham

Morgan Hunt are working with a national Charity who are looking for an SEN Employability Tutor in Birmingham. This is a part time, temporary role paying between £20-£25 per hour (depending on qualifications and experience). This role is sickness cover expected to last for 4 weeks however could be extended. The working days for this role are Tuesday-Friday and the hours are from 09:00-17:00. The role will involve delivering Employability programmes including Functional Skills to post-16 learners with special needs. The role will be based on site 4 days per week.

The SEN Employability Tutor will be responsible for:

  • Planning, creating and delivering engaging Employability programmes including Functional Skills
  • Providing advice and guidance to learners to overcome barriers to secure employment
  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes
  • Working with the quality team to ensure standards are maintained

The SEN Employability Tutor will need to:

  • Have Level 3 Teaching qualification
  • Experience in teaching learners with special educational needs
  • Demonstrate a successful track record in delivering Employability programmes or Functional Skills
  • Be willing to work on site 5 days per week
  • An enhanced Children’s and Adult’s DBS on the update service
  • Be available to start w/c 06/10
